Hi im a new member and have not purchased yet.

Im looking to purchase, but may wait for the MB43 as it looks stunning.

My son is 4 and has allready worn out a  PEg Perego Jeep, which is only 1.5 years old, - wheels worn through, battery dead, motors worn out, to name a few things wrong with it.

So im after something that will last and something that spares can be puchased, which is why im here.

What age group are these aimed at ? im looking at the pics and many of the children look about 7ish.

When is the MB43 going to be released as the website isnt updated very often and looks about 1 month since its update.

Best regards
Brian

Hi Brian and welcome,

My grandson Harvey was 3 y/o when he took delivery of the T2 (he's 5 now), and it has spent many hours being driven around the local school field, crashed into walls, gate posts, tree's and other non moveable objects!

The body is looking a little tatty now, but still structurally sound, and all of the mechanical parts, even the ones I've made, are standing Up to the punishment really well.

This is in no small part due to the superb original design, and Richard's modifications and developments over the years.
If you follow the instructions in the build manual that Richard supplies, you will have no trouble in building a strong and reliable vehicle, that will last for many years to come.

Many vehicles on the forum have had modifications applied to them, to suit their owner / builders requirements, but these are not really needed.
I would suggest that you contact Mr Shepherd and find out where his next show will be, then get yourself (and the proposed new driver) along, meet Richard, have a chat and a test drive! Stoneleigh Park Aug Bank Hols

As for the age of the driver, if the controls are simple enough, then age 3 up wards seems to be the norm. If he can handle a Peg Pegaro, Toylander is the next logical (and stronger) step forward.

Plus, you have the backing of the TOC behind you for help and advice!

Hope this has helped,
Regards,
Mark.
(Richard's PR secretary!) Thank you Mark RS

hello.
As mark said 3+. My little girl is 3 and loves the car even at the weekend we brought her a little bike and after 10 Min's she wanted the car out again. And you will be surprised how quickly a little one gets the hang of driving!!!
Good luck with your build.
Regards.
Max.

It doesn't matter what age the kids are, they are nothing more than the excuse we need to build these things!  Grin
For me I found that mid 30's is about the right age to start building, but there are younger and older builders...........
So don't worry about it too much, just start when you are ready.
Regards,
Mike

Hi,

Likewise, my son was 3 1/2 when he got his tractor, you have to keep an eye on them at that age though.

Grin Ours were 14 and 17 and they borrowed ours to test it at an event over Easter and it was returned to us somewhat hastily before they disappeared across the muddy field that they had just emerged from. They said that it wasn't them that got it muddy but their evil twins who were testing out its mud plugging ability.....
So the age best to buy for is anywhere between 3 and 93 ish.

It is at the moment BTS but the ready cut panels [an option] will not be available until nearer Christmas I'm afraid.
Best wishes
