Hi,

Decided I should start building my 14-week old daughter (1st child) her first car now to hopefully finish it before she graduates!

I currently run a Defender 110 utility-wagon company-car.  Thus a TL1 or TL2 is the only real option my daughter.  However, I own the design rights to a third scale series-1 LR (built with Aluminium sheet work and chassis) so its a toss-up between which I build first ;-)

Thanks,
Harvey

Harvey,
Would be nice to see some pictures if you have any? A 1/3 scale LR would be easier for an adult to fit into! Many years ago, my neighbour who works at Land Rover says the apprentices actually built such a model for a customer's son. I think it was for a king from the middle east rather than a member of our own royal family. It had a chassis and aluminium bodywork with a petrol engine (probably froma lawnmower). I'll ask him again when I next see him but I haven't been able to find any pictures of it on the internet. Is it this that you have the design rights for?

Its not easy posting photos on here is it - I will have to activate my Flickr account after leaving it dormant for years now ;-)

A friend of mine developed the 1:3 scale based on his own series-1, he made four working versions (as that was the most efficient use of materials).  Three were sold and one was his daughters.  I bought the design templates, notes, moulds, etc off him to use, modify, develop, etc. as I saw fit.  That was five years ago, they're still sat in my parents garage, so i've decided I need to start doing something now.

There are three threads about posting photos in the "General Discussion" section.

Your Flicker link is not working ( get a login page ) and when visiting your Flicker account I am told

It would appear that your flickr account is locked so only your contacts can see it?
