Motor options

Does anyone know if the motors from these would be adequate to drive a Toylander 2? What additional information do I need to ask about?

Hi
I don't see why not. Looking up the specs they are 24v and 250W motor with a belt drive.
RLT supplied motors are 12V/180W.
Just need to figure the rest of the transmission. ... There are plenty of ideas on this forum
Regards
Anthony

I used these motors 250W, they require an additional reduction gear to get to an acceptable torque / RPM for the toylander diameter wheels. This means you will probably have to budget for a couple of chain rings, available as scooter spares off ebay.

Hi
Toylander motors have a built in gear reduction, so do mobility scooter motors. They still need further reduction by chain and sprocket to achieve an acceptable combination of power and speed.
Do the ones that you are considering, come with a reduction gearbox? Or do they use a small motor sprocket driving a muuch larger gear?

Having the correct wattage is one thing, but the engineering required to achieve the reduction, may outweigh the savings.

The speed of the Toylander roadwheel needs to be about 100 revs per min, the wheels are about  47 inches circumference, so this equates to about 4.45 mph, which is the sort of thing to aim for.
