Hi Paul / Mrs R
Just to show how the mudguards were made over a former. it took 3 tie down straps to hold til the glue set, then I added a third strip on the outer edge for effect. They were then shaped on the ends, tidied up and finished with bodyfiller.

Hi Walter,
I thought you might be interested in this:- at the weekend, I attended the Midlands Model Engineering exhibition in Warwickshire and a Foden lorry like yours was on display. Apparently it was made from a kit produced by Reeves which is no longer available. It is powered by a Honda 5hp motor, has working indicators and hydraulic brakes on all 4 wheels and is driven through a flap in the back of the cab though I don't know how because it has a tiny steering wheel offset to the right and well forward inside the small cab and no seat to sit on. The owner had printed a good description of it and said the wheels were no longer available which is why they didn't match the curvature of the wheel arches.
There was another similar one but a tractor cab outside in the camping area. Also a Toylander tractor. Plenty of small steam engines and I think it would be a good exhibition for Richard to attend.

:)  That means we were spotted, the Toylander tractor is ours and was there along with our miniature traction engine.  The miniature lorry if I remember rightly is an ERF C15 articulated tractor unit and comes from Scotland.  As for the lorry in the picture it belongs to a gent in one of the model engineering clubs we belong to.  Weatherwise it was good for the time of year, only frost was spotted at 6am on Sunday morning (not by us we were still in the land of nod inside the sleeping bags)

Hi There
I too was at the show, only for a couple of hours on the last day. I loved the Scottish gent's ERF Artic Tractor Unit, great model, and I spent some time chatting to the owner.
Regards to all
