electrics and things
« on: 24 February, 2011, 06:53:58 AM »
hi can anyone help please out there in big boys toy land ( you know who you are lol ) i am at the start of doing the electrics on my tub, i am using a 24 volt motor , but i haven't got a clue what relays to use for forward and reverse or where to get them from, and everything else i will need, i am not going to use a soft start on this one, the motor has a electronic brake which i have sorted the wires out for that, so if any of you children out there can help i would be very gratefull, i have a geepstar fully built , i have had a look at the relays etc but no info is on there, thank you in advance for all the help, this forum is a great way to get help for us novices out here, and i hope it continues for many many year to come, many thanks, john.

Hi John, googled this diagram for you, if you divide the wattage of your motors by the voltage you are running it will give you the ampage draw, mine are 12amp, so am using 40amp relays that i got from maplin, £5.39 ea, order code AR32K www.maplin.co.uk (other suppliers are available  :)) Hope this info of some use to you, Best wishes and good luck
