Greeting
« on: 30 January, 2010, 11:10:35 AM »
Hello fellow builders,
just a quick intro as i am about to put saw to wood.
Based in Germany with the British Army defending the last vestiges of the empire, building a Toylander 2 for my daughter as she wants a landy like daddy's.
Dealing with the German DIY market can be a bit of a nightmare especially as my squaddie-deutch is limited to the rudimentary "large beer and a suspicious looking sausage please", but as the locals say "vorsprung durch technik".
I am having to do a wee bit of improvise adapt and overcome as i cant afford to ship out kit from Richard and cant always find what i need downtown.
Well I look forward to chatting with many of you, so far the forum has been worth its weight in gold.
Cheers
Delboy.

Hi Delboy, and welcome.

If all you can order is 'Beer and Sausage', then I hate to think what shape your Toylander is going to end up!! :-\

Everyone on the forum will try to help out with ideas, but as for the materials, maybe one of our 'European' members can help you out there.

I think 'Robert' is from the Netherlands, and that some Dutch people also speak German, as their languages are similar, so he might be able to point you in the right direction.

Good Luck with the Looooong beer tanker, ;)
Regards,
Mark.
