;) We second that Max we think its a train layout.Or maybe a tram layout.  Looks like you are trying to hatch it out under a big heat source or is that a cooker hood in the background.

Hornby set up, I don't do Hornby set ups Max. :D  This is a professional establishment.

What you are looking at is the underside of a state of the art model railway to end all model railways. :D :D

The large piece of Stainless Steel, floating on the horizon is indeed a cooker hood the Pauls.  Because this project is once again for my grandson, I have been allowed to bespoil our kitchen.

More piccies to follow when the part constructed scenery dries out a bit.

Brian.

Here are the first pictures of the part completed model.

That should keep you busy for a bit.

Hi Brian,

That's very nice, lots of work done and really complex, but does it fit in the Toylander, or is a trailer 'Grandpa's Third Secret Project??

Something to do when the weather's no good for the Toylander I suppose!

Keep Busy,
Best Regards,
Mark.

Hi Mark,
I'm down in sunny Devon at the moment at my cousins domain in Newton Abbot having a rest from all the projects, ha ha.  So far I've rewired a shaver socket, made a fence, fitted a back to one of those seats with the arched tops, replaced a door handle and lock, redesigned the water feature, (This to be returned to in autumn when all the pondside plants are dying back), and built two stations and a waterwheel kit ready for the model railway when I get home, for a rest.

Still got my Toylander to sort out when I get home, I think I'll camp out somewhere on the M42 away from every one with a job wanting doing.

Regards,

Brian.

Hi Brian
We're also off down to Devon on Sat for a week, I'm leaving all my tools at home including the roundtuit, I'll keep away from Newton Abbott in case I get roped in.
And no PC where I'm going either!
Take Care

Hi Brian,

That's a shame about you break turning into a 'bus-mans' holiday!

I'll give you Walter's mobile number, so you can contact him for some help while you're down there!

Toylander steering, I've given up with that one, just hope I can sort something reasonable out for the Moke, when I get around to it again! Trying to sort the jungle, sorry garden out at the moment, when I'm not errecting bl**dy 10 ft trampolines for his nibs!

Enjoy the break mate, you deserve it!

Regards,
Mark.

Hello, smee again. ;D

Just a bit of an update on the railway, lots of electrics done and a bit more scenery, Travis seems quite happy with it but complains progress is slow.

Yours truly just testing, as you do.

Travis, showing me how it should be done.

An overview of the model so far.

The track plan diodes go from green to red as the train progresses around the circuit.

The points are remotely operated.

The lock gates work and it all should be good fun when completed, sometime in 2012. ;D

Regards,

Brian.

:) Great work Brian spotted Thomas the tank engine so it the island based on Sodor or is it your own design.  Keep up the good work.
