Canvas Tilt - anyone made one?
« on: 03 April, 2010, 08:22:59 PM »
My daughter asked earlier today if I could build a 'roof' for her T2.  Has anyone made and fitted a replica canvas tilt for a T2?  I appreciate it would reduce the headroom a little however it would not be a problem for her - she's 3 - and it would give her and the T2 some weather protection - plus it would look cool!

I'm not really interested in sidescreens however a tilt as below would be nice!

theres one in the gallery here or in the customers cars on the toylander site

I'm going to have a bash at one, we do work for a boy who owns a company that makes curtain sides for lorries etc and he said if i made the framework he'd be more than happy to get one of his boys to make me one

i was thinking of using 1/2" copper pipe for the frame as its nice and light

Neil - thanks - I'll have a look for the pic.  If you do go ahead with this could you post some measurements and a few photos?  It would be good to document if you can :)

Thanks,

Gavin.

Hi All
If you are considering a canvas top, is it worth considering making the front panel below the screen, and  the windscreen itself, slightly larger. About 20 or 25 mm extra on each would give added headroom.
Best of luck
