Hoping to pop to B&Q tomorrow for the MDF and finally get cracking -

Will keep you posted on how i'm getting on with a few photos here and there!

No doubt I will back on here soon for help!

Welcome to the forum, glad you have started your project at last. There are a lot of wise people on this forum who give their advice freely, don't be afraid to ask questions no matter how stupid you may think they are.
Good look with the build.
Regards
Andy

I built one for my son, he is now 24, and handed it over to my daughter, now 15. It's still in the garage, but in need of bit of tender lve to restore. i'm currently restoring an old morris minor tourer, but plan to rebuiold this classic too. I'm curious whats changed in the design over the years. I bought mine back in 1987.

It's provided hundereds of kids fun at various local fates, fairs and boot sales etc... and it will do so again one day. These things are so well made they last forever. both my son and daughter will not let me part with it, and want me to restore it soon.

;) Done the Morris Minor restoration many years ago (20yrs ish) and built a Toylander.  Morris Minor took longer was heavier to move round the garage and needed the help of serious muscle from friends at times to roll it over to work on its underside.

However if it wasnt for the Morris Minor we wouldnt have got involved in Miniature Steam, wouldnt have gone to a steam do at Boston in Lincolnshire and then wouldnt have met Richard seen the Toylanders and so on.

Toylander just required extra set of hands at times to move in the shed and was lucky enough that the painter painted in the house over winter weekends with cental heating to dry the paint.

Happy Building Paul and Sue
Mad on miniatures steam and now toylanders

Good luck, hope you enjoy! I bought a kit someone said they had had in their garage for a couple of years, turned out to be about ten years old with many old imperial (pre metric) parts. It has been great fun and challenging, my son is so excited and hopeing to have te first drive this weekend, I am already planning the next one.

Enjoy!
