Just recieved the 4qd in the mail. It does have a place to hook up the electric brakes. I think this controller will be very user friendly. Now waiting on batteries and pot.

I'm thinking of reworking the gear ratio on my sons jeep, as it is a little sluggish on steeper grades. I cannot go any smaller on the motor sprocket, so I'll have to do it on the wheel sprocket. My question is: How much difference would it make if I used a sprocket with one more tooth? two more teeth? I'm not really concerned about loosing top end speed.

There is a chart you can down load in the Mods page on here, calculating gearing. should help you.

I ended up using  sprockets with four more teeth than what I had originally. It made all the difference. I did not loose to much top end speed. Now it has plenty of bottom end power.
