Phoenix public house on A30 at Hartley Wintney
« on: 28 December, 2009, 11:36:19 AM »
Hello TOC Members,

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Many, many thanks to all those who sent holiday wishes to us as we approached our busiest time. I hope you all enjoy another fun filled year of transport delight.

We are attending the Vintage car meet at the above pub on New Year's Day from 11.00 to 12.00 [Noon]until we have seen all the attending cars PROVIDING IT IS NOT RAINING! RAIN STOPS MY PLAY.

They are under new management but the event on NYD has happened every year for at least the last forty years so I'm risking it. In the past they have had a hog roast running, there are usually loads of great cars to see of all kinds and periods.
Best wishes
Richard and Will [chief test pilot]
Best wishes
Richard

Hi Richard,
Sounds like a lot of fun.

Unfortunately, I have just checked the map and it's a bit too far for Harvey, Me and the little car!

Maybe later in the year and somewhere more central would be better suited.

Take Care and have a good day out.

Best Wishes,
Regards,
Mark.
Bloke with too much time on his hands!

It's quite a way from Rainy ole' Bedfordshire - is there a special reason for going down there?

My grandson lives near there and going to my son's house eating his food, leaving the lights on and jumping down the last three stairs whilst welcoming in the New Year is a great draw.
Best wishes

My father , who is 94, has a sign on his lounge door, "Get your own back! Live long enough to be a problem to your kids!" I bet you've got one too!
