Hi Tufty
How did you overcome the problem of the controller going into failsafe?
Do you have any other suggestions than ones I quoted?
Regards
Walter

Every time I think I've got my head round it I hear of something else making it a little more complicated like the "micro switch". Unfortunately I am unable to try things out at the moment as I'm offshore.

Thanks Walter for the help, at least now I have a much better idea.

Hi Walter
I binned the idea of swapping the input resistance for that reason and used a pair or 70A relays to switch the polarity of the output to the motors for reversing, I used the wigwag pot on the accelerator pedal from the 'off' position to the full forward position. I was a little concerned about the pilot switching direction without stopping so I used push buttons for forward/reverse which only work when the brake pedal is pushed down (meaning the accelerator is off).

Hi Tufty
More than one way to skin a cat as they say; my system works very well now but was quite a pain to set up as the microswitches are in a confined space at the base of the gearlever.
