Hi Wilbur
That looks nice, it's a bit similar to mine, but I have a fold up/down loading ramp, it seemed like a good idea but does vibrate quite a bit, I'll take a pic when it's day light and post it.

Thought about a fold up ramp and dismissed it....Going to make a couple of "hook on" ramps which will "stow" between the runners when not being used,

Hi
A couple of pics in case anyone's interested, the more observant may notice the aftermarket modification, the bricks under the chassis, follows a minor "incident" with the jockey wheel!
The trailer needs to be coupled to the vehicle before loading to prevent it tipping, or a prop is needed under the rear end. The red parts are the motorcycle trailer that I built a couple of years back, and the black parts are the add-ons for the Toylander.

Walter

Hi Guys,

I suppose I should throw my hat into the ring on this subject (now as I've taken some pictures), and let you all see how I transport Harvey's T2 around.

As you may know, I modified my little box trailer, by making the front board removable and adding a small (1" x 1"), angle iron frame to the front to support the wheels, and stop the car rolling about....

I use two ratchet straps over the car's body, hooked into holes in the trailer floor, to secure it in transit.

The little car will fit either way around....

And can be loaded from the front, or via the tailgate.

I only have a Fiesta, but it tows really well, and doesn't bounce about (much), unless you forget the speed humps, and will do a steady 60 on the motorway with ease.

So there you are, another idea for you to contemplate!

Keep Thinking,
Regards,
Mark.

Mark,
Like i said today.....NICE trailer!

We're going to have to think about one of these sooner or later if we want to venture further afield than the Stray.

;) Just got around to remembering how to post items on here. We transport our Toylander around in a garage in the back of the motorhome sounds extravagent and it probably is for occasional use but because we do steam rallies with the engine its the best of both for our needs. This last rally season (not summer as such as we rally from Easter to mid November we managed about 23 weekends away so the motorhome gets used and yes when we last swapped we did so with the Toylander in mind), did the homework weight wise.

And yes before you ask you can drive up the ramps in the Toylander so long as you duck quickly.  Very quickly. ::) regards PaulR and Mrs PaulR

I built this trailer a while ago for general purpose, when I get round to building a TL2 I will be using this trailer to transport it, I think it will be long enough at 6ft. It is a little bit heavier than a mini transporter but I don't really have space to store a second trailer.

That was a good idea Mark making the front of your trailer removable to accommodate the TL2. You still have a usefull trailer for other uses.

The garage in the back of the motorhome is great, I'm jealous!!!

Hi Jock,

If your trailer is 6' long inside the front / rear boards, then the TL2 will fit no problem, as the finished car is only 5' (give or take an inch) long.

I had to make the front board removable on mine to get Harvey's car onboard, as my trailer is only 4' 3" long.

Plus, now a mate of Gary's has discovered that he can get a motorcycle in it  ::),  it sometimes doubles as a 'Rescue' trailer, when his daughters battered Honda 125 breaks down.

I might have to start charging him for the priviledge!! :D :D :D

Keep Busy,
Regards,
Mark.
