Hi Ted,
Yes, the outing was a good laugh. I think that the gent I was talking to (Mike?) who is Ryan's dad has a task in hand.
The first thing Ryan said was 'Dad, can I have one?', so I can see someone spending long nights and weekends in the workshop!
Especially after I got Harvey to drive him around, and let Ryan take the wheel, cor I'm cruel!!
I have to agree with you on the subject of David's T1, a beautifully turned out example, and a credit to his efforts.
I must say that yours coped really well, especially transporting four little 'uns about for the majority of the afternoon.
I'm beginning to have doubts about the batteries in Harvey's car. I think they might need replacing soon, as they were getting tired by the end of the day, but running on soft grass does seem to exhaust them faster.
Either that, or it's the heat due to the motor / axle / control box are in such a confined space. I did have to re-set the thermal cut out a couple of times during the day, so that's another job on the 'To Do' list.
As for the modifications, that's what winter is for. Harvey's has been running (I won't say 'Finished') for a little over 18 months now, and as I don't work, I've had lots of time to complete the various mods.
Modifications can be completed when time allows, or when they can be fitted into the build schedule, but that's the curse of these meetings, you always see something else you'd like to incorporate into your build.
I feel for you (being a glutton for punishment) having two to complete, but after seeing the nice trailer you brought, I would have thought there was room for at least 6 on that!!

Maybe you could offer a collection service for the North Yorks area, next time we all go to Newark, so Toylanders can take over, and make Richard's dream come true!!
Here's to the next meeting,
Best Regards,
Mark.
