Tractor build was great fun. Only modification from Richard's plans was to mount the electronics box so that there was no stress on the din plug & cable. See photo. The bonnet nose was the most difficult part to make, mainly because I did not have all the necessary tools, so plenty of filler & sand paper used. Finding it much easier to make a TL2, but probably because I have more tools now & a little experience of this type of build.

Hi JB,
Unfortunately I can't quite make out the difference from the attached pic. It looks like the Drawing is showing the top of the angled braces above the sides, and the Photo showing them level with the sides, is that right?

The only thing I can suggest is to phone Richard Shepherd, Toylander Company owner, and explain the problem. I'm sure he'll have the answer, after all, he designed the tractor, and is always ready to help builders in any way he can.

Keep Busy,
Regards,
Mark.

Hi Jimmy,
Yes, I see what you mean now. Then the only thing to do is telephone Richard and ask him. He'll know the answer. It's not worth guessing, as a mistake now might be catastrophic later, Better safe than sorry.

regards,
Mark.

Well done Wilber, looking good, how about some more build photo's and a few words on any difficulties encountered, personal modifications made etc.

Kind regards,

Brian.

Haven't really made any changes...just followed the instructions....Some said the "bullnose" was hard to carve as it's a complex curve....so !! I bought a 12 inch length of 4 x 4 balsawood and useing a jigsaw to rough cut it and then a very corse belt sander I got a very good result in about 30 mins.  I used formers and ply for the bonnet/grill...added the metal strips to the grill to-day to help it take the knocks.
