Hi Everyone
Thanks for the comments, answers to some of the questions
The red buttons are for the siren, the buttons give different sounds
very loud, my wife has made me put in a remote control so that i can kill
the noise, the remote also controls the radio and motors
the grey box under the bonnet is the back of the radio
the wide strap over the motors is to mount the motors to the sides of the car hopefully
to give them a bit of rigidity The detail has mainly come from pictures off the internet
the bonnet catch came from a kitchen unit door lock
Hope that answers some of your questions

You've done a fantastic build there, Phil. Love the detail. It's fit for Concours d'Elegance!

It makes me wonder, if I had the time....... :-\

Phil,
I've just found your thread......what a brilliant build - the finish looks great and the photos are great and I'm glad you've put plenty up on the forum.

I'm just painting my series 1 now and by the looks of things am using the same coloured paint. I'm interested to know how you applied the paint - spray, hand brush or hand roller? I'm applying by hand, i was going to roller it all on (and have done a combination of roller and brush on the primer and undercoats) but have brush applied the first of the gloss coats. It looks OK but will need wetn'drying down again before the next coat.

Have you any tips.....?

Well Done
David

Hi David

Thanks for the comments I sprayed the car with two pack paint, and used the correct
land rover bronze green paint, to be quite honest next time I will use rollers as the spraying
was a nightmare I must have used enough paint to spray a hummer
The trick to a good paint finish is preparation, so lots of sanding and filling, good luck with your painting
Thanks
Phil
