Photo uploads - forum posts
« on: 21 October, 2008, 09:32:29 PM »
Two methods to add photos to your posts:

1/ The photo has to be online somewhere to use the image tags ( insert image button that looks like a photo frame above smillies ).
It can be located on a server or a free image hosting site such as photobucket.
When you click on the button you get two image tags; you need to put the full path to the image between the tags (this is the text in the address bar when viewing the image).
The photo will be reduced in size to display in your post but I have modified the forum to allow clicking on the image and the browser will display the original sized version.
You will have to press back in your browser to return to the post.

2/ Use the additional options at the bottom of the post box. Then use the browse button to locate the image on your PC.
The images are saved on this server and the image size is restricted to a size of 128 kb, a maximium file size per post of 260kb (enough for two images) and if you use a smaller image a maximium of 4 images per post.
This should allow for an image size of 500px wide approx. depending on other photo settings.
This method will again show a smaller version of the image and when you click on it a larger image will be displayed in the post.
If the image is too large you will be notified when you press post. To add two images click on (more attachments) and another browse box will open; put the different images into the different boxes.
