Hi Guys
That sounds like a cool speedo!
Mine works and tells all sorts of data, but no backlight, so you have to be really dedicated to see what it is reading!
I too have had to hang up my modellers hat in favour of bob the builder's hat lately, but having a break sometimes means I return with renewed vigour next time!
Keep on modifying!!!

Brian,
In my experience building up a stock of brownie points is always advisable....the only problem i come across is that the exchange rate can be extremely variable......... ;) ;D

I'm still building up enough to start the trailer....(toylander)I just hope the exchange rate will be in my favour after Christmas!

Take her to M&S, the exchange rate is usually good there, especially for Brownie points.

Well, I think this is the final version of the T2 wiring diagram as fitted to the car.

This shows all the proper cable colours as wired, and the fused circuits with the designated fuse sizes.

In case people are having problems reading the drawing inscriptions, I have discovered a way to increase the size of the diagram on screen which makes reading them much easier.

If you look at the task bar at the top of the page,  on mine. I've got a house, [home], an orange square, [view feed etc.], and envelope, [read mail], and then Page.

Click on [PAGE] and this will open a [New Window] box.
Travel down the box page until you arrive at [Zoom] and click on it.
A second box will open with various percentage sizes, it will open showing 100%. Click on 150% or greater, and lo and behold, the drawing will increase in size.

You may also notice in the [New Window] box, just below [Zoom], is the word [Text], click on this and you will find different options for text size.  This will affect the text size in all your text windows.

Now a lot of you may all ready know this wonder of Windows XP, which is the version I run, but it came as an early Xmas present to this ageing user.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the tip mate, that works a treat! Trouble is the text on the drawing is a little small for me (my eyes are shot), and I have to enlarge to 400% before I can read it clearly!

Still, I can now view the diagram and pinch sorry, make sense of it.  ;)
One 'Sticky Bun' credit for Brian!

Nice one,
Regards,
Mark.

Good evening folks.

You know, whenever a new post is posted, in whatever section it is in, I read it, because I find it interesting to see how other people have overcome a perceived problem, or how they report a problem they may be having.

I learn a lot of interesting things about subjects that I am unfamiliar with, and any thing I see of interest, I attempt to store away in my head in case I may want a solution to that problem myself.

Now this in itself is a problem, because at 71 years old, I've not got a lot of memory space left, in fact I'm sure my brain is starting to over write areas of my memory with new information which, because that bit of memory has been pre-used, I seem to forget quite quickly. ::) ::) ::)

I am attempting to make this little missive humorous because it has a serious purpose. ;D ;D ;D

Many of the questions on here have all ready been asked, and answered by myself and other regulars with lot's of time on there hands.  We do not mind, and I enjoy being able to help a fellow builders, but, it can be frustrating sometimes when, having posted detailed descriptions of how a problem was solved, complete with a host of pictures, the pre answered query pops up again.

This usually results in one or other of us reiterating words of hopeful wisdom, previously posted on the forum. ;)

Might I respectfully suggest that before committing pinky to key board, you look at the three sites I am going to list, and read them from page one to, in my case, page eighteen.  I am not suggesting that you will find all the answers in these three topic posts, but you will find most of them that have arisen so far. :D

And we three muskateers have contributed to many other posts as well.

1] Toylander two started at last...........................................................................by Multysinc.    [Walter]

2] Hi to all...by Markh 15.

3] My Grandpa's got a new project.......................................................................by Brian.

There are several other good posts by other bulders, well worth a read and including some superbly engineered solutions  to problems, as all ways, created by ourselves because we want to individualise our build. ::)

I hope I have not offended any one by this little reminder, and I am always available through this forum either to a posted query or direct via my email.

The answer to your question Max regarding a floor in the underbonnet battery compartment is yes, I have fitted a floor to my build.   [ Grandpa's got a new project, page 15/16 I think. ] ;D

Kind regards,

Brian.

Hi Brian, and welcome!

What sort of Toylander did you say you're building? :D :D :D

Yes mate, I agree.
But as my memory is shot also, I just keep on typing the same stuff over and over, I need the typing practise you see!! :D

I was going to say something else, but I've forgotten what it was!! :-\

Best Regards,
(Mr Memory!) ::)

ok!!! hands up!!!
asked another question that the answer is already posted,
i will do my hundred lines.
dont ask silly questions
dont ask silly questions
dont ask silly questions
dont ask silly questions
dont ask silly questions.........
i have read every post on here but when i come in from the garage some nights after avoiding the other half(who is stood at the door, boxing gloves ready due to the fact that i have sucessfully avoided all the soaps and her in the process).feel its easyer to ask a question than hunt the pages of helpfull information that is on here, but i will enderver to find the information rather than ask the same question  over and over again.

sorry!!!!
max.

ps . has anyone fitted a false floor to the foot well??

only joking!!!

Hello Max, very funny, I'd have given you two hundred.:D

Answer:- not that I know of, but several of us have created a dummy transmission tunnel to hide various parts passing from front to rear.:D

You might try asking her if she would like to paint it, or make seat cushions and backrests, if she feels involved, she might not be so up tight.

Mind you, it didn't work in my house.   ::)  ;D  ;D

Regards,

Brian.

thanks,
would love her to help, but it would interupt the soaps coro,emerdale,eastenders,hollyoaks.....
shes partally sighted hence why shes with me!!! so any help would take me longer to correct than doing it myself.
but in fairness the coffee arrives frequently (normally during the adverts) so thats some help!!.

but I'm just about to go and paint the car British racing green as my son wants it that color, i wanted it white then took a shine to oxford blue and this was after claret and blue with the Aston villa lion dotted around !!!
thanks for the spell checker!!!!!!!

cheers
max.

That was quick; I only asked the hosts to install it about 2hrs ago.

I asked for an English dictionary version but I am not sure what we have as both color and colour get through !

I wonder what I need to install to get capital letters at the beginning of lines/paragraphs  :o

Hello to anyone following my T2 build, update and general mucking around on here.

There is still much to do, and I will get aroundtoit, in fact, there are rumours that my family have clubbed together to purchase the biggest one ever produced, so watch this space. ::) ::) ::)

In all seriousness, may I take this opportunity to wish you all a happy and joyfull Christmas. :D

A special thank you has to go to my two fellow sparring partners on here, Walter [Multysinc] and Mark [Markh15]. We have had a good laugh between us, and I'm sure the two of them have provided invaluable help to many of you out there, and long may it continue.

A final thank you has to go to our indomitable host, Richard, and his faithfull Robin, Anthony.

Thank you for making this possible.  You have brought great pleasure to many many parents, grandparents and guardians and the reason we are all here, the young members of our respective families.  Despite the knocks and bumps that will inevitably be inflicted on our builds, I am sure they will cherish the gift we have strived to produce for them

Merry Christmas dear friends, wherever you are.

Brian.
